Warranty Extension: Engine Does Not Auto Restart After Entering Auto Idle Stop

What is the reason for this Warranty Extension?
Under certain circumstances, after coming to a stop and the idle stop feature engages, the vehicle may
not automatically restart.
To ensure your confidence in your vehicle. Acura is extending the warranty coverage for starter and
starter relays and a valve adjustment related to this condition to 10 years from the original date of
purchase with no mileage limitation.
This warranty extension provides coverage for the original owner and any subsequent owners. No action
is required on your part unless you experience a problem.
What will Acura do?
If you are experiencing a problem related to this condition. Acura will replace the starter assembly, starter
relays and adjust the valves for free. Please call any authorized Acura dealer and make an appointment
to have your vehicle repaired for FREE. Once you make an appointment for your vehicle, be advised that
the repair may take approximately 3 hours. However, your dealer can provide you with a better estimate
of the overall time for this service visit, as it may be necessary to make your vehicle available for a longer
period of time. If you are not the only driver of this vehicle, please advise all other drivers and passengers
of this important information.
Lessor information
Please forward a copy of this notice to the lessee.
What to do if you feel this notice is in error
Our records show that you are the current registered owner of a 2015-2020 TLX V6 SH-AWD involved in
this warranty extension. If this is not the case, or the name/address information is not correct, please fill
out and return the enclosed, postage-paid Information Change Card. We will then update our records.
If you previously paid to have your starter assembly and starter relays replaced due to this condition, you
may be eligible for reimbursement, even if you no longer own the vehicle. Refer to the attached
reimbursement instructions for eligibility requirements and the reimbursement procedure.

¿Cuál es el motivo de esta extensión de garantía?
Bajo ciertas circunstancias, después de detenerse y que la función de parada en ralenti se active, el
vehículo puede que no arranque automáticamente.
Para garantizar la confianza en su vehículo. Acura está extendiendo la cobertura de la garantía del motor
de arranque y los relés del motor de arranque y un ajuste de la válvula relacionado con esta condición, a
10 años a partir de la fecha original de compra, sin límite de millas.
Esta extensión de garantía brinda cobertura al propietario original y a cualquier propietario subsiguiente.
No se requiere ninguna acción de su parte a menos que usted experimente algún problema.
¿Qué hará Acura?
Si usted está experimentando un problema relacionado con esta condición Acura reemplazará el
conjunto del motor de arranque, los relés del motor de arranque y el ajuste de las válvulas de forma
gratuita. Por favor llame a cualquier concesionario autorizado Acura y haga una cita para la reparación
de su vehículo de forma GRATUITA. Una vez que programe una cita para su vehículo, le avisamos que
la reparación podría tardar aproximadamente 3 horas. No obstante, su concesionario le puede ofrecer un
mejor estimado del tiempo total de esta visita de servicio, ya que pudiera ser necesario que su vehículo
esté disponible por un periodo más largo. Si usted no es el único conductor de este vehículo, por favor
informe a todos los conductores y pasajeros sobre esta información importante.
Información para el arrendador
Por favor envié una copia de esta notificación al arrendatario.
Qué debe hacer si considera que esta notificación es errónea
Nuestros registros indican que usted es el propietario actual registrado de un vehículo TLX V6 SH-AWD
2015-2020 el cual forma parte de esta extensión de garantía. Si no es el caso, o si la información de
nombre/dirección no está correcta, por favor llene y devuelva la Tarjeta de Cambio de Información anexa
pre-pagada. Con esto actualizaremos nuestros registros.
Si usted anteriormente ha pagado por el reemplazo del conjunto del motor de arranque y los relés del
motor de arranque debido a esta condición, usted puede calificar para un rembolso, aunque ya no sea el
propietario del vehículo. Consulte las instrucciones para reembolso que se encuentra anexa para ver los
requisitos de elegibilidad y el procedimiento de reembolso.
