PROCEDURE
DANGER
Park vehicle safely, apply parking brake, stop engine. Prior to working on the vehicle, set the ignition
switch to the OFF position and trip the main circuit breakers equipped with a trip button. On Commuter
type vehicles, set the battery master switch (master cut-out) to the OFF position.
1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the
consumer batteries.
2. Remove the passenger panel cover.

2. Pull and remove the cover
3. Remove fixing screws.

4. Carefully remove the panel and unplug
the electrical harness.
CAUTION
Risk of material damage. Cables and
connectors could be damage.
► Do not pull the cover.
► Do not leave hanging the panel by
the cables.
5. Repeat from the step 1 to 3 for remaining service kits.
6. Remove the remaining panels, push
the front and back part of the panel to
loose them.
Repeat this action for all service kit panels.

7. Mark the position of the sensors in the
interior of the air condition duct.
Use the attached drawing (figure 1) to
check the correct dimensions.
8. Wrap the isolation tape around the
brackets.
9. Join the brackets using the rivets included in the kit 24162097.

10. Place the bracket on the mark made on
step 7 and Install the bracket fixing
screws.
11. Join the black cables, crimp a 968016
terminal on the black and red cables.
12. Install the harness on the sensor.

13. Install the isolation supplied with the
sensor, around the harness connection on the sensor.
Make sure that the isolation covers the entire connection surface.
14. Install and fix the sensor on the
bracket.
Use 965200 screws and 990938 nuts.
15. Use a 948995 connector, put the black
cable on rounded side.

16. Repeat steps 9 to 14 to the rest of the
sensors on both sides.
17. Route the side harnesses 24162221
inside the duct. Fix it with cable ties.
18. Plug the connectors.

19. Remove the handrail.
Remove the sticky covers.
Remove the screws.
20. Remove the right-side B pillar cover.

Remove the screws.
•
Remove the cover.
21. Pass the harness trough the air duct
and route the harness to the electrical
center on the pillar.
Fix the harness with cable ties.

22. Remove the electrical center cover.
23. Remove the driver safety belt.
24. Remove the left side B pillar cover.

25. Pass the harness trough the air duct
and route the harness on the pillar.
Fix the harness with cable ties.
26. Unplug the green connector of the voltage regulator.
27. Add a 30 cm of black cable on pin 6
and 30 cm of red cable on pin 5.

28. In the other side of the cable, crimp a
949400 terminals and install 964167
connector.
29. Plug the power harness 24161370 with
the power connector assembled on
step 28.
Fix the cables with cable ties.
30. Plug the left harness with the short
side of the power harness and route
the extra cable around the electrical
center.

31. Cross the remaining harness under the
stairs to the front electrical compartment on the right side.
32. Plug the right-side harness with the
power harness and fixit around the
compartment using cable ties.
33. Install the right-side B pillar cover.

Install and hand tighten the
screws.

34. Install the left side B pillar cover.

35. Install the driver safety belt.
Tightening torque 50+10 NM.
36. Install the electrical center cover.

37. Install the panels on the luggage rack.

Press the panel.
38. Connect the passenger panel.
CAUTION
