Customer states:
• The message "Audi pre sense currently restricted. See owner’s manual" is displayed in the instrument cluster.
Workshop findings:
• The concern can be reproduced.
• No relevant DTCs are stored in the front camera -R242- or in the distance regulation control module, J428
(address word 0013) and distance regulation control module 2, J850 (address word 008B).

Technical Background
Audi pre sense processes the wheel speed signal provided by the ABS control module, J104 (address word 0003).
All four wheel speeds are monitored and compared simultaneously.
Different wheel sizes on the vehicle, differences in tread depth, or unapproved wheel/tire combinations can lead to
the message "Audi pre sense currently restricted. See owner’s manual".

Please check the installed wheel/tire combination to ensure that it is applicable to the vehicle according to the
repair manual or the type label.
