This is to revise and replace Campaign 2573-A, dated 31-Mar-22. This revision is to:
1. Update the Action, and
2. update the Attachment B.
If additional information is required, please contact your Cummins Warranty Operations
Group Leader.

Description
This campaign is issued to address Connectivity Module (5661267) with bad firmware that was left
disconnected by the OEM on certain BES CM2450 EV101B units. This field action authorizes
certified service locations to replace the Connectivity Module.

Action
In order to qualify for repair under this field action, a drivetrain system:
1. will be covered Regardless of coverage status, and
2. must show as OPEN on QuickServe® Online for this field action.

Note : The SSN list is attached for reference.
After verifying that the engine meets the above requirements, perform the following actions:
A: Preparatory Steps:
1) Connect to System Control Module (SCM) with INSITE.
2) Go to Features & Parameters.

3) Under System ID and Dataplate, select Engine Information.
3a) Verify Engine Serial Number populated in SCM matches the actual System Serial Number
printed on the High Voltage Junction Box dataplate.
3b) Change the value if necessary.
4) Under System ID and Dataplate, select Vehicle/OEM Information.
4a) Verify Vehicle Identification Number populated in SCM matches the actual Vehicle
Identification Number printed on the OEM dataplate above the driver seat.
4b) Change the value if necessary.
B: Remove and Replace Prox 2 Module; Please refer to Attachment B for rework specifications:
1) Disconnect existing jumper harness and cellular antenna, but leave installed (will reconnect
and use).
2) Remove existing Prox 2 module/bracket assembly from OEM panel, save 4x OEM screws
for reuse.
3) Remove 2x M4 screws attaching Prox 2 module to bracket, save screws for re-use.
4) Attach new Prox 2 module onto bracket with 2x M4 screws.
5) Install Prox 2 module/bracket assembly to OEM panel with 4x OEM screws.
6) Reconnect jumper harness and cellular antenna.
7) Record the newly installed Prox II MAC ID (Number after the (S) on the box) and the bus
VIN in the campaign claim.
C: Verify Connectivity:
1) Turn vehicle on for 15 minutes in area with good cellular reception.
2) Search by SSN on pdservice.ev.cummins.com (Get access through help.cummins.com
ticket).
3) The vehicle should populate and indicate a Last Sync status of ~1 minute ago.
3a) If a vehicle doesn't populate, ensure the SSN/VIN are correct in the SCM. If they are,
contact connectedsol.support@cummins.com with the MAC ID (Number after the (S) on the
box label), SSN, VIN.
3b. If the vehicle does populate and doesn't indicate a Last Sync status, ensure the cell
antenna is securely installed and the green light on the Connectivity Module is flashing.
If so, contact connectedsol.support@cummins.com with the MAC ID (Number after the (S) on the
box label), SSN, VIN.

Material Disposition
Where applicable, items removed should be returned to ReCon for core credit. Unless otherwise
indicated, items with no core liability can be scrapped.
