MC20 – Monocoque sealing in the area under
the windshield trim

Certain Maserati MC20 (M240) vehicles listed in ModisCS+ are involved in a Service Campaign to seal a
small area under the windshield trim to avoid any potential water infiltration.
Please read and review this bulletin first before starting the procedure.

Preparations:


This campaign calls for DP8810 resin or equivalent, N-Eptano (n-heptane solvent),
and isopropyl alcohol which are readily available from major retailers and will not be
carried by MNA Parts Operations.
NOTE: Both isopropyl alcohol and N-Eptano (n-heptane solvent) will be used to
clean and prep the monocoque area twice as shown below.

1.

Always check in ModisCS+ to see if the vehicle is involved in this campaign and if the campaign
has not been previously performed

2.

Carefully remove the two clips from the windscreen plate.

3.

Move the windscreen plate (A) as figured and fix it with a suitable tool.

Operational Procedure

Clean the indicated area of the monocoque highlighted in RED with isopropyl alcohol.

Look for the presence of discontinuities (openings) in the carbon.

Clean again, the indicated area of the monocoque highlighted in RED with N-Eptano (n-heptane
solvent)

Seal the damaged area applying adhesive resin DP8810 or equivalent to it.

Wait 40 minutes for the resin polymerization.

Remove the suitable tool and move the windscreen plate (A) as figured.

10. Fix the two indicated clips.

11. Repeat the same operation on the other side then the operation is concluded.

DP8810 resin or equivalent, N-Eptano (n-heptane solvent), and isopropyl alcohol are readily available
from major retailers and will not be carried by MNA Parts Operations. All these products must be
purchased locally and claimed using pseudo-code PN 980157115:


One PN 980157115 can be claimed for every 2 cars.



Request reimbursement for the entire can for the first serviced vehicle.



If the local cost of the glue exceeds the reimbursed amount, you may claim the difference in
Sublet, attaching the purchase invoice to the warranty claim
