Governor Type Min-Max governor (automotive type) produces engine power proportional to Min-Max [ Min- | A26
throttle travel. All-Speed pedal is proportional to engine RPM. Typically a Min- or All- Max

Engine Sleep Mode _| Enables the Engine Sleep Mode. If enabled the engine will not start, even if a valid | Enabled, | Disabled | wa
theft deterrence theft code is entered. This is a type of theft deterrence for users Disabled
who may park a vehicle for an extended time. If enabled, the engine will not start
and there is no indication given that this security feature is active. To display an
alert, see Engine Sleep Mode Alert. Note: Feature is not enabled via Macktraq.

Control Super 10 | If enabled and an Eaton Super 10 Top 2 transmission has been installed, then the 9° to Enabled, Disabled A2I
Top 2 With 10" split shift can be controlled with the Cruise ON/Off switch. If the switch is ON, Disabled
Switch the top shift is automatic, if Cruise is OFF, then the splitter button must be used. If
disabled, the top gear split shift will always be automated.
Transmission Top | The top gear ratio of the transmission. Parameter is used by Lower Gear Road Speed 0.00 to Factory | A22
Gear Ratio Limiting to determine if the truck is in top gear, or above a gear in which LGRSL 2.55 Set
should be applied. If the transmission is changed to one of a different type, it may be
necessary to enter a new ratio.

Lower Gear Road | If LGRSL is enabled (see Vehicle ECU Customer Data), this parameter specifies the 1S mphto | 65 mph All
Speed Limit highest vehicle road speed allowed in any gear below the transmission's top gear. It is RSL
(LGRSL) intended to prevent the driver from cruising at an inefficient (too high) engine speed
for prolonged periods, generally one gear below top
Enable Cruise If enabled, this option allows the Cruise Maximum Road Speed to be set greater than Enabled Disabled | A1U
Button Bonus the Road Speed Limit. RSL can only be exceeded when cruise is active using the Disabled
Accel button, hence you must use the speed controls to get the “bonus” MPH. If
disabled, Cruise Maximum Road Speed can not be programmed higher than the RSL.

Detect Loss of Enabling this important parameter means V-MAC will detect of an inactive MPH Enabled, | Enable | All
Signal from MPH | sensor, if there is no MPH signal received and the engine power requested is above the | Disabled
Sensor Loss of MPH Signal Fault Load Threshold (see below). If this parameter is not
enabled, then V-MAC III will not be able to log faults or limit the vehicle’s power in
the event of a MPH signal loss.
Engine Load In the event that there is no MPH sensor signal (vehicle not moving, sensor not 20%- 40% A64
Threshold for No | adjusted properly, or sensor disconnected), engine load must be greater than this 100% power
MPH Signal threshold before an inactive MPH sensor fault will be logged. Note that for certain power
applications, like PTO"s & turbounloaders, it may be normal to operate the engine
under moderate loads without a MPH signal (vehicle not moving).
Limit Power ifNo | This parameter works with the Detect Loss of Signal from MPH Sensor. When a fault | Enabled, | Enabled | A65

Enable Fault (+ If enabled, V-MAC will detect and log a fault, and limit engine speed or power if the Enabled, | Disabled | A2K
Speed Limiting) if | V-MAC MPH sensor and engine RPM signals do not indicate a known gear ratio. In. | Disabled
Incorrect Gear most situations the engine speed will be limited to the calculated top gear RPM
Ratio corresponding to the RSL limit. This feature is designed to discourage tampering with
the MPH sensor signal. If disabled, V-MAC will not detect an incorrect gear ratio.
Note: This feature is recommended for highway applications only.
| ELECTRONIC TORQUELIMITING
Customer Torque | V-MAC’s Electronic Torque Limiting feature automatically limits engine torque in 1.01065.0 | 30.0 AQL
Limit certain high torque -low transmission gear ratio production applications. However,
(Transmission) the customer can further protect the drivetrain for specific applications if desired using
Gear Ratio the Customer ETL features. This parameter specifies the numerical transmission gear
ratio above which (lower gear) the engine torque will be limited by the customer.
Note that customer defined torque limit values can only further limit factory settings
(not override them).
Customer Torque | Customer defined value which specifies the engine maximum torque level for all gear 300t0 | 2000 Ibs- | A2M
Limit ratios numerically higher (lower gears) than the ratio listed in Customer Torque Limit | 2200 lbs-ft ft
Gear Ratio. Note that setting this torque level below the normal engine peak torque
output can limit engine performance for gear ratios specified above..
Torque Limit If enabled, torque will be limited with the PTO on to the values defined by the Enabled, Disabled | A2N
With PTO Option | customer above. If disabled, no torque limits will be applied with the PTO engaged, if | Disabled
the vehicle is not moving.
Torque Limit Once the vehicle is in a higher gear than required for Customer Torque Limiting, the 1to 10 1 sec. A3W
Ramp Up Time _| engine will ramp to full power. This parameter defines the maximum time required sec.
for the engine to return to full or normal power (the actual time will depend upon the
amount of customer torque limiting). This parameter would not normally be set by the
customer unless a problem is being experienced with the Electronic Torque Limiting
feature.

Option (LGRSL) | inefficient (too high) engine RPM for prolonged periods, generally in 1 gear below
top. It's also a reminder to the driver when to upshift into top gear (because power
“cuts-out” at the LGRSL MPH).
Low Idle Speed When this option is enabled, the low idle engine speed can be adjusted with the Enabled Enabled ALO
Adjust with speed control switches. Specific instructions are given in the V-MAC III Operator's | Disabled
Switches Manual included with every V-MAC equipped vehicle.

Service Brake Allows the user to specify a higher threshold for the service brake fault when the 5to10 5

This feature increases low-mid range braking power, but not necessarily peak power.
Engage the Fan Engages the fan when a PTO is engaged. This feature is designed to reduce on-off Enabled, Disabled A2S
with the PTO fan drive clutch wear and noise during PTO operation. This feature can be enabled Disabled &
for each individual PTO (up to 4). Dual PID codes are for PTOs | & 2 respectively. A3A

Cruise Control Maximum vehicle speed obtainable in Cruise Control. Cruise Control Maximum 40-RSL 65 mph 933
Maximum Speed | Speed should normally be set 0-3 mph below RSL , which allows some reserve mph
MPH for passing situations. Note: See Cruise Button Bonus files for exceptions. (normally)
Cruise Control The lowest vehicle speed possible to engage and remain in cruise. If vehicle speed 10-35mph | 20mph | Ao2
Minimum Speed drops below this speed, cruise control will dropout and cannot be set.
Bump Speed “stab” _or “bump” of the accel or decel buttons respectively. mph/bump bump
Delay Engine If enabled, the engine brake will not activate until the vehicle is 2 MPH above the Enabled, Enabled AT5
Brake cruise set speed. This feature saves fuel and reduces wear by pre-venting Disabled
Application in unnecessary or unwanted engine brake activation. The brake automatically turns off
Cruise when vehicle speed is 1/2 MPH above the set speed.
Inhibit Cruise If enabled, cruise control will disengage when the PTO is activated. If disabled, Enabled, Enabled A2QU
Control With cruise will continue to function with the PTO switch(s) engaged. Engine speed will Disabled
PTO on. still be limited to the PTO Engine Speed Limit setting for the particular PTO used.
Cruise Control Disabled
Cruise Auto When enabled, the cruise control will automatically resume during a shift once the Enabled Enabled A2W

Hold Cruise to Used if the customer wants a bump or an accel/decel to land on a fixed road speed Disabled, Disabled wa
Nearest MPH. increment. Choices are 0 (i.e. disabled), 1/4, 1/2, and 1 MPH. Ex: Customer chooses (0), 1/4, (0)
a bump speed of 1 MPH/bump. The current road speed is 60.3 MPH. If the hold 1/2, 1, mph
number is 0 (disabled) and he bumps the speed up once, the new road speed will be
61.3 MPH. But if instead he has the hold number set to 1 MPH, then the first press of
the button will put the speed at 61 MPH, the second bump at 62, 63, etc.
Cruise Control ‘Assigns 1 or more of the assigned switches from Switch Interface Assignments as a Required Ignore na
Engagement, requirement for cruise engagement, disengagement, or temporary dropout (i.e. Auto On,
Dropout, Resume). Customer can select whether the switch has to be ON or OFF for the Required
Temporary condition to be true. Example: To incorporate a ‘coast’ button on the gear shift lever Off,
Dropout Switches | or steering wheel, simply reassign a switch input, wire the coast button to this input, Ignore
and then select Control # 1 as a temporary dropout when it’s on. The Enable Custom
Cruise Control option must be enabled for this feature to work . NOTE: If a switch
is selected for engagement when it’s on, turning the switch off once cruise is
engaged will not disable cruise unless its Off state is picked for dropout.
|__—CENGINEPROTECTION/SHUTDOWN:
Coolant Level If disabled, V-MAC will issue an engine protection warning (only). Disabled
Engine S/D: If enabled, V-MAC III will use the data from this sensor to shut down the engine Enabled, Enabled A06
Coolant when coolant temperature reaches 227° F. If disabled, V-MAC will issue an engine | Disabled
Temperature protection warning (only) at 223° F.
Note: Certain engine and vehicle combinations include an automatic engine power
derate of approximately 10% between 216 and 220° F to prevent overheating.
Engine S/D: If enabled, V-MAC will use data from this sensor to shut down the engine if low oil Enabled, Enabled A07
Oil Pressure pressure is detected. If disabled, V-MAC issues an engine protection warning (only). | Disabled
Engine S/D If enabled and a pyrometer is installed, V-MAC will shutdown the engine if the Enabled, | Disabled | A2X
Exhaust exhaust temperature exceeds 1150°F. In disabled, a warning will be issued if the Disabled
Temperature: exhaust temperature exceeds 1100°F. This feature is not implemented w/o a pyro.
Engine S/D: Tf enabled, and a transmission oil temperature sensor is installed, V-MAC will use Enabled, Disabled A2Y
Transmission data from the sensor to determine if the engine should be shutdown. The warning Disabled
Temperature temperature is 310° F. and the shutdown temperature is 328° F.
Transmission activates engine shutdown if a high transmission temperature is detected. If Disabled
Temp. Warning _| disabled, V-MAC does not issue a warning. Transmission faults will not be logged
& Shutdown in the V-MAC ECU’s.

Idle Shutdown features described below will not function. Idle Shutdown is a “key Disabled

Idle Shutdown This parameter is used to control the normal length of time the engine will be 1 to 199 10 934

warm-up timer is activated, this time is added to the normal Idle S/D time.

PTO Active idle shutdown will not function if any PTO is engaged. Note: PTO device switch Disabled
must be electrically connected to proper V-MAC input for this feature to function.
Control Active If disabled, idle shutdown will not function if the Hand Throttle is engaged. Disabled

Active shutdown will not function if SSC is engaged. Note: PTO device switch must be Disabled
electrically connected to proper V-MAC input for this feature to function.
Idle S/D if Power | If enabled, the engine power output has no effect on the Idle Shutdown function (idle [Enabled | Enabled | A23
Used Higher shutdown will operate regardless of the engine power). If it’s disabled, Idle S/D will | Disabled
Than Threshold | not occur if the power output is above the Idle Shutdown Power Threshold.. This
feature is used to prevent idle shutdown in turbounloader applications, where engine
power may be high during pumping operations, but no PTO input is being used.
Power Threshold _| this is the % engine power you must be above to prevent idle S/D from functioning.
Idle S/D if in If enabled, idle shutdown will function normally (unless overridden by other Enabled, | Enabled | A3C
