2022MY Isuzu Class 5 N-Series Vehicles

Equipped with 6.0L Gasoline Engine
INFORMATION
This bulletin describes certain additional requirements when submitting a warranty claim
for engine repairs (Labor Operation Codes J0000 to J9999) on 2022MY Isuzu N-Series
vehicles equipped with 6.0L Gasoline engines.
REQUIRED INFORMATION
Additional detailed information for the 3 C’s (Condition, Cause and Correction):
Condition (Complaint) – Accurately state the condition (complaint) as reported by the
Owner or owner representative.
Cause – Provide a detailed description of the defect or malfunction found by the
technician and its cause. Be sure to include the following:
 All DTC’s reported by the vehicle modules

Correction - Provide a detailed description of the work that was done by the technician.
Include a detailed description of the diagnostic tests used in the repair and technical
readings that support the repair.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR ENGINES
In the event an original PSI engine is replaced, the following must occur:


This process applies only to original (OEM) PSI engines. If the involved
engine has been previously replaced (i.e., if it is a replacement engine),
normal warranty parts procedures will apply.



Retain the failed PSI engine for 30 days after final claim payment per
Service Policy and Procedure Manual.



After the warranty claim is approved by Isuzu Commercial Truck of
America, a manual call-back for the failed PSI engine assembly will be
issued by the Isuzu Warranty Parts Center (WPC).



A pre-paid Bill of Lading for shipment by Yellow Roadway Corporation
(YRC) will be sent to the dealership from the WPC.



The failed PSI engine assembly must be returned to the WPC by utilizing
the supplied Bill of Lading by YRC.


