Summary
ZF has prepared two TSBs (separately submitted under 49 C.F.R. § 579.5(b)) regarding: (1) replacement of the ReAX module within the steering column on certain recreational vehicles and transit busses; and (2) a related software reflash. ZF previously offered an interim software solution to address customer field experiences regarding the ReAX system. At that time, ZF provided a guide for upgrading the ReAX module from the then-current 14F level software to the new 14G level software. Although the 14G reflash addressed different performance issues for different customers, a single slide deck was prepared for ZF?s customers explaining the overall reflash procedure. This communication was identified during a review of the current software reflash TSB, which upgrades the existing 14G level software to the most recent 14H level software. Because it had not been previously submitted, in accordance with our process and in an abundance of caution, ZF is reporting this previous communication.

Initial Testman Start –Up Procedure
1) Connect Testman DPA to the provided 9 pin J19 connector
2) Connect The Testman DPA to the Lap top using the provide LAN cable
3) Plug the 9 Pin connector into the coaches J19 communication port
4) Turn the ignition key to ON position
5) Right click the Testman Beta icon on the lap top (desk top) this will launch the testman
