STEERING COLUMN SUPPORT INSTRUCTIONS
1. Extend Generator tray outward to gain access behind
driver front headlights and front cap (Fig. 1).

2. Remove wiper module located on the front bulkhead by
removing two ¼ inch self-tappers (Fig. 2).

3. Slide Driver Seat as far rearward as possible to gain
necessary room to work.

4. Assemble the two brackets (Fig. 3) with ¼-20 bolt, washer,
and nut. (Note: These bolts need to be finger tightened until
final securement to allow adjustment during installation
process)

5. Remove lower steering column cover (Fig. 4).
A. (5) Fasteners holding rubber to lower cover
B. (2) fasteners holding lower cover to column (one
on each side)
i. Save Fasteners for reinstallation

6. Between the front bulkhead and the steering shaft,
install bracket assembly with gussets facing
downward (Fig. 4).
Critical: Installation must be completed in the
following order:

A

A. Install and tighten (3) 8MM-1.25X16 GR 8.8

ZC (2028634) Bolts from bottom into open
location of the steering shaft.
B. Install (2) Screw, HEX WSHR .25X1.00 TEK3 ZC (0017714) ¼ inch self-tappers into front bulkhead
(bracket assembly will adjust to distance required)
C. Tighten both ¼-20 Bolts which were finger tightened previously in step 2
D. Re-install fasteners previously removed in step 5.
7. Verify the installation has not put the steering column into a bind by testing the steering wheel tilt and
telescoping functionality.
8. Behind the driver front bulkhead, locate the fasteners coming through the bulkhead by installing the steering
column support to determine if they will interfere with the re-installation of the wiper module. Mount the wiper
module to the front bulkhead and stow the generator.
9. Installation steps are complete.
