Today, February 26, 2016, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. is announcing a Product Update for certain ILX, RLX, RLX
Hybrid, and TLX model years 2014-16 vehicles for sale in the state of Hawaii to amend Monroney labels that were
printed without bumper impact information.
Basic Problem
American Honda had a computer programming issue; an obsolete program name causing printing of no bumper impact
information on the Monroney label for the state of Hawaii.
The Repair
All vehicles affected and with the error on the Monroney label in dealer stock shall receive an additional sticker to be
placed next to the Monroney label. The sticker includes the bumper impact compliance information required by Hawaii
law.
Service Bulletin
Service bulletin 16-011, Product Update: Monroney Label (Hawaii) has been posted to the Service Information System
today in support of this campaign. It includes repair procedure, warranty, and amendment sticker information.
Parts/Label Information
There are no vehicle parts or materials associated with this product update. Your dealership Service Manager will
receive a package directly from American Honda Motor, Co., Inc. with stickers and a letter identifying by VIN the vehicles
affected in your dealer inventory. There are FOUR POSSIBLE sticker options, check the bulletin for correct application.
Check the VIN identified in the letter with your dealer new vehicle stock and adhere the CORRECT stickers to unsold
units ONLY. If needed, additional labels can be ordered through Helm Inc. Check the Service Bulletin for Helm part
number and order details..
