Important: If the customer did not bring their vehicle in for this concern, DO NOT proceed with this EI.
The purpose of this EI is to inform dealership personnel that when it comes to the scheduled maintenance at
12,070 km (7500 mi), or within the first year of ownership, engineering is attempting to retrieve the Dual Clutch
Canister Transmission Filters for inspection.

Correction
If you encounter a vehicle with the above concern, follow the steps listed below for handling and returning the old Dual Clutch Transmission Filter back to engineering.
1.

DO NOT drain the filter by turning it upside down. Please allow the filter to drain right side up, so no particles dump out.

2.

DO NOT allow the filter to come in contact with foreign surfaces (oil drain pan).

3.

Once the old filter is out, it can be placed on clean paper or a clean cloth to allow draining into drain pan.

4.

After draining, double bag the filter, preferably a Ziplock bag if possible.

5.

Tag the bag with the VIN and mileage.

6.

Wrap the bag with a PIG® mat to contain any possible leaks and insert into a shipping box, along with a copy of the work order.

Special Reason:
The claim is paid using Labor Operation 0600723. Normally most dealers do not charge out part numbers for this maintenance that would allow the Warranty Parts
Center (WPC) to set up a project to request the filter back.
We will need your parts personnel to charge out O-ring part number 24299307 on the claim and we will generate a parts return request against that part number.
Please return the Dual Clutch Transmission Filter in the manner requested above, in place of the O-ring to the warranty parts center using the label created for the
special parts request.
Reminder:
Parts returns are eligible for a $25 administration fee to process the parts return.
