Newsletter 69 - Special Tool Bulletin 215.
From new, this tool will need to be updated with
the latest software, in order to support XC90 (16-)
and newer vehicles. Please follow the steps in
SPJ 30099 in order to complete the update.

9513035 TPMS Tool
Suitable for all vehicle models equipped with TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitor System). The tool
automatically tests Schraeder and Continental TPMS sensor.
Beeper to indicate no TPMS sensor found or confirmation of received RF data (TPM is found). USB
mini connector at top right side of tool for data download to PC. Provides information about the type of
sensor, frequency, TPMS sensor battery status as well as status of TPMS sensor accelerometers. The tool
is also required to change a spare part from Shipping mode to Park mode. The tool can transfer detailed
TPMS sensor information in HTML format via USB port.
Tool with rubber boot and loaded application software.
With customized Volvo Overlay Via USB (type 1 or 2) to a PC.
PC running a Microsoft operating system.
Data file format is HTML and will therefore require no extra ‘reading’ software on the PC, neither any
extra USB drivers other than those already on the PC.

The tool will provide the same functionality of the Volvo tool 9512987.
It will provide OBD connectivity to the vehicle under test which enables to read out the car’s
fault codes but not to erase. Sensor ID can be read out and changed. Pressure and temperature
can be read out.
The tool will test both Schrader and Continental VDO TPMS sensor.
It will automatically (when necessary) bring a Continental TPMS sensor out of Test mode into
Park Mode when tested.
It will have the facility to bring a Continental TPMS sensor out of ship mode into park mode
(when necessary).
It will display test results on a backlit LCD screen.
It will provide a results file available via the USB port.
