Background:
March 4, 2016 - Attachment updated with clarification that the VIN number or row must be
clicked in order to populate the Fine Tune Vehicle on the VIDA screen. See attached instructions.
With the VIDA update on Sunday February 21st, a change was implemented to the VIN readout routine.
In the past, it was possible that the incorrect transmission type was being selected automatically by
VIDA. This is related to the VIN structure for cars in our market.
The update ensures the user selects the correct transmission type for the vehicle they are servicing

P2 Vehicle Read Out Update (February 2016)
When a user attempts to read the vehicle with a VIN where the transmission is not
decoded you will now see the below message.
After receiving this message, click the VIN number or anywhere along the row.
This will populate the “Fine Tune Vehicle” section below with the correct vehicle, minus the transmission
type.
You will then manually select the proper Transmission, and click the Connect button.
The Connect button will be highlighted under “Fine-tune vehicle” only.
The normal Connect button becomes greyed out. This issue is being investigated for a correction in the
future.
