If the Preheat Icon does not illuminate while Engine Preheat is active as
shown below:
A. Update Instrument Cluster Software (SW) to enable the
parameter.
1. In Premium Tech Tool (PTT), run Operation 1700-22-03-06
Accessory Kit. The operation can be found under the Program tab.
2. When prompted, enter Accessory Kit Number 85153771.
3. Press the Program button in the lower right-hand corner of the
screen.
4. Allow the programming operation to complete.
B. Set Vehicle (System) Date And Time.
1. Run PTT Operation 1700-22-03-02 System Date and Time. The
operation can be found under the Program tab.

Overview
Incorrect time and date timestamps are caused when the Vehicle
Date and Time are not set or set incorrectly. The Vehicle Date and
Time are stored in the Instrument Cluster ( MID 140 ) and are
separate from the Display Date and Time, which is visible on the
Driver Information Display ( DID ).
Multiple modules have internal clocks that compare values with the
Vehicle value. Incorrect Vehicle Date and Time can result in
conflicts between Control Modules, resulting in possible
faults/codes. Examples are: Data Link DTCs, P2080, P2094 and
P242B
If the Instrument Cluster is programmed, the System Date and Time
are cleared in many cases and need to be re-entered. System Date
And Time will need to be checked after programming the Cluster
using the programming operations described below.
Repair
A. Program the System Date and Time
- For Pre-OBD ( US07 and US10 Emissions, Model Years 2008 to
2013 with a 9-pin diagnostic connector ):
1. Run Operation 1700-22-03-02 System Date and Time,
Programming.
