Observations when monitoring IDE12765 and IDE12766
Referring to Figure 1:
IDE12765 (When monitored) fluctuates from the static value found (Ignition on/Engine Off) Or
With/without purge activation
However
IDE12766 (When monitored) DOES NOT fluctuate from the static value found (Ignition on/Engine Off) Or
With/without purge activation

Technical background
In the event the symptom described is evident the operative should carry out the instructions within the Measure section

Measure
1) Remove the Air cleaner element top cover - Refer to Repair manual Rep.Gr 24 - Air-cleaner element - To remove and fit

Referring to Figure 2 - Locate the Pressure sensor connector (T3dd) for the activated charcoal filter system (G804)

Disconnect T3dd

•

Disconnect T56aj from the Engine control unit (J623)

•

Referring to the applicable wiring diagram within in Elsa pro - Conduct a wiring integrity check

From T3dd (PIN’s 1 and 2) - To Connector T56aj (PIN’s 1 and 5)
In the event the integrity check highlights an issue, carry out the remaining instructions from Step 2
However
In the event the pins are located correctly and the issue is still evident, the operative should raise a DISS query and await
feedback from Product Support before conducting any further work
2) Referring to Figure 3 and the attached PDF instructions - De-pin/Remove PIN’s 1 and 2 from connector T3dd
TIP: As both wires are white, the green line which can be seen on the central white wire was applied to aid the operative when
swapping the PIN’s to the correct locations

3) Install PIN 2 into PIN 1
4) Install PIN 1 into PIN 2
5) Conduct a wiring integrity check from T3dd (PIN’s 1 and 2) - To Connector T56aj (PIN’s 1 and 5)

In the event the wiring integrity check confirms no further issues are evident continue with the remaining steps

6) Reconnect T3dd and T56aj
•

Refit any previously removed components

7) Clear the vehicle of any Diagnostic Trouble codes (DTC’s) associated with this procedure and complete the readiness code procedure
In the event the issue is not resolved, the operative should raise a DISS query and await feedback from Product
Support before conducting any further work
