SITUATION
Noises from the center console shifter cover at low speeds. The noise can be affected by pressing the
gearshift lever knob.
CAUSE
Insufficient noise shielding in the gearshift lever cover.
PROCEDURE
1. Inspect the shifter cover revision index
number (AI).
2. If the index number is 03 as shown in the
picture, replace shifter cover with revision 04,
as per repair instructions 25 11 085
3. If the index number is already at 04, do not
replace shifter cover, and perform further
diagnosis.
Important: Gearshift lever covers with AI 04 will enter standard production in June 2021

If you are using a Main labor code for another repair, use the Plus code labor operation 25 11 591 instead of
25 11 085.
Based on which one applies to your center, please refer to SI B01 01 20 or B01 07 20 for claiming your
diagnosis work time, job/repair work time (WT), RO/Claim WT and/or repair explanation procedures, unless
otherwise required by State law.
