Concluding work for AMA4 Stop Delivery

Information:

The engine replacement on the affected vehicles required during the AMA4 Stop Delivery was
already carried out at the importer's service hub (PCNA) before transporting the vehicle to the
Porsche dealer delivering the vehicle.
Due to the infrastructure, however, not all required concluding work, e.g. suspension alignment and calibration of assistance systems, could be carried out at the service hubs.

Action required: Before vehicle delivery to customers, carry out the following concluding work for AMA4 Stop Delivery:

Please note: The sales check is not part of this measure for WMJ4 or AMA4 Stop Delivery and cannot

To ensure that the vehicle is however working correctly, the regular sales check must be carried out
before the extended test drive for this measure.

Perform suspension alignment and make adjustments.

After correcting the wheel alignment values, carry out the following work.

Calibrate steering-angle sensor.

Calibrating PASM
2.2.1

Select the PASM control unit in the control unit selection screen ('Overview'
menu) and press •F12“ ('Next') to confirm your selection.

2.2.2

Once the PASM control unit has been found and is displayed in the overview, select
the 'Maintenance/repairs' menu.

2.2.3

Select 'Calibration' in the menu and press •F12“ (‘Next’) to confirm. Follow the
instructions on the PIWIS Tester and complete calibration.

2.3

Teach steering lock settings for the power-steering gear.

If installed: Calibrate front camera.

Only allow the service advisor or workshop staff with the relevant qualification and experience
(e.g. workshop manager) to test-drive the vehicle
Drive normally for a distance of approx. 25 miles
Maximum engine speed: 6,500 rpm
Vehicles with Sport Chrono package: Only drive in Normal mode
Vehicles with PDK transmission: Only drive with the selector lever in position "D"
Vehicles with PDK transmission: Do not drive in kickdown mode in order to ensure that a
maximum engine speed of 6,500 rpm is not exceeded
Do not drive off with Launch Control
Check vehicle for unusual handling behavior, vibrations and noise

After carrying out the test drive and before stopping the engine, create a vehicle analysis log
(VAL) using the PIWIS Tester while the engine is running and when the work is complete, use the
'Data management' > 'VAL data return' function on the PIWIS Tester to send the VAL to Porsche
AG.

Read out and erase the fault memories of all control units.
Information
If there are faults in the control units, these must first be found and corrected. This work cannot
be invoiced under the workshop campaign number.

After the test drive, let the vehicle cool down until the coolant temperature is max. 60 °C. Then
check the coolant level and engine-oil level and add coolant or engine oil as required.

Raise the vehicle on a lifting platform again and check the engine for leaks or other problems.
To do this, remove the rear underbody cover and re-install it following visual inspection.

Enter the campaign in the Warranty and Maintenance booklet.
