SITUATION
M 1000 RR motorcycles with the M Competition Package do not come with the clutch protector (clutch
guard) or lap trigger.
Clutch lever protector:
The M Competition Package or M Milled Parts Package only includes the brake lever
guard, NOT the clutch
lever guard; This is shown correctly in the configurator on the BMW motorcycles website.
The instructions in AIR according to which both hand lever guards are to be installed during vehicle
preparation are incorrect and will be amended in September 2021.
M GPS lap trigger:
The delivery of the M Competition Package or “M GPS lap trigger” only includes the preparation (enabling)
for the lap trigger, and not the lap trigger hardware itself.
The clutch lever protector and the lap trigger hardware are only available as special accessories and can be
ordered separately at the customer's request.
