Customer statement / workshop findings
Prior to replacing the fuel delivery module or fuel pump control units please refer to the information within this TPI
This TPI is applicable for W12 Bentayga TSI engine variants only

Technical background
The twin fuel pumps which are part of the fuel delivery module (located on the right hand side of the fuel tank as Figure 1) have changed to an
improved Diamond Like Coated (DLC) fuel pump

In the event the incorrect configuration of the fuel delivery module and control units are fitted the retailer/customer can experience a low fuel
pressure too low DTC
OR
low fuel pressure too high DTC depending on the incorrect configuration.

Production change
All W12 VIN’s from SJAAF1ZV9KC027000 have DLC pumps fitted with the part numbers of 36A 919 087H or 36A 919 087J (depending on
auxiliary heater specification) in conjunction with fuel pump control units 4M0 906 093K
The DLC pumps are compatible and can be fitted to vehicles up to VIN SJAAF1ZV9KC027000 HOWEVER you must ensure the
correct specification fuel pump control units are fitted in conjunction with the DLC fuel pump assembly

Measure
NOTE: Prior to ordering/replacing the fuel delivery module and/or control units, the retailer should refer to the vehicles Repair history to
check/confirm the part numbers of any previously fitted fuel delivery module and control units, should the fuel pump assembly and control units
have the following part numbers:
Fuel delivery module with bypass tube (Figure 2)
36A 919 087F - Fuel pump assembly without auxiliary heater
36A 919 087G – Fuel pump assembly with auxiliary heater Fuel
pump control units
36A 906 093B – Master
36A 906 093C - Slave

Standard fuel pump control units with the part number - 4M0 906 093K
MUST be fitted in conjunction with
DLC fuel pumps with the part numbers of 36A 919 087H without auxiliary heater
OR
36A 919 087J with auxiliary heater
Should the vehicle require a fuel delivery module the DLC type pump assembly will be supplied 36A 919 087H or 36A 919 087J. Both fuel pump
control units 4M0 906 093K should also be replaced to ensure correct configuration/compatibility
Should a fuel pump control unit require replacing the DLC fuel pump will also require replacement as control units with the part number 4M0 906
093K will only be available, In this scenario (due to potential mismatch) both control units should be replaced
