Repair Instructions

For US21-OBD20 Emissions Turbo-Compound Engines, during instances of low chassis air pressure the
P024400 fault may occur due to a logic error.
For vehicles experiencing this fault, perform the following:
1. Allow air pressure to build fully - either by listening for the air compressor to shut off (along with the
audible hiss from the dryer) or simply idling the truck for 10 minutes.
2. Switch the engine to the off position, wait 30 seconds and restart. At this point the monitor should then
pass and heal the DTC.
If the fault remains after following the steps above follow GD and recommended actions for this DTC. This
solution will be updated when new software has been released.

Instrucciones de reparación
Para los motores turbo compuestos de emisiones US21-OBD20, durante los casos de baja presión de aire del
chasis, la falla P024400 puede ocurrir debido a un error lógico.
Para los vehículos que experimentan esta falla, realice lo siguiente:
1. Permita que la presión de aire se acumule completamente, ya sea escuchando que el compresor de aire
se apague (junto con el silbido audible de la secadora) o simplemente dejando el camión en ralentí
durante 10 minutos.
2. Ponga el motor en la posición de apagado, espere 30 segundos y vuelva a arrancar. En este punto, el
monitor debería pasar y reparar el DTC.
Si la falla persiste después de seguir los pasos anteriores, siga GD y las acciones recomendadas para este DTC.
Esta solución se actualizará cuando se lance un nuevo software.
