SIDEWALL REPAIR/SLIDEOUT REINFORCEMENT

Step 1:
First, remove the cargo door (4 screws) and cut the seal around the cargo door to make it easier
to remove.

Step 2:
Next, you need to remove the front rail. Start by cutting the seal and then remove the cap
screw on the bottom of the rail as shown in the picture above. Peel back the gimp and remove
as many screws as needed (4‐6 screws). If you use a putty bone or a screw driver, you can slide
that up from the bottom to break the seal.

Here is a photo of the person sticking the putty bone underneath the rail to break the seal.

Step 3:
Remove the bottom piece of metal (black). Take out the screws inside of the metal, and drop
both pieces (refer to top photo).

Step 4:
Remove the rear tail light (2 screws) and then remove the cable/satellite plug (3 screws) (refer
to bottom photo).

Step 5:
Next you will need to remove the rear rail. Start with the bottom cap screw and then pull the
gimp up to remove screws as needed up to the third piece of metal.

Step 6:
Open up the slide out and use a flat head screw driver to remove staples behind the D‐seal on
the bottom rail of the slide out.

Step 7:
Remove 6 bolts on the slide out side wall rails from the bottom‐up. Make sure you do this on
both sides and then use a screw driver to jam in the bottom corner of each side of the slide out
to remove the staples behind the bracket to get the metal out.
Step 8:
Once all of the staples are removed, unscrew the power cord and set the side metal down.

Step 9:
Here is where you will start to reinforce the slide out wall (also next page has another image).
Insert the supports and screw them down to make sure they’re secure. Make sure that you are
screwing from the bottom up and top down and that the side wall has plenty of screws to the
base.

Step 10:
Next you will seal the screw heads on the underbelly. Then, trace the old metal onto the new
metal. Once the metal is cut out, it will be time to hang the new metal. Hint: use a flat head
screws to hold up the 2nd level of metal. (refer to bottom image)

Step 11:
Attach the rear tail light and cable plug. Add screws back into the slide out (6 each side). After
that you will add the bottom black metal back on and the power cord.
Step 12:
Reattach the rails in the front and back and put gimp back on along with the bottom corner clip.

Step 13:
Reattach the cargo door and once you’re done with that the rails, cargo door, slide out, and
marker lights will need resealed.

Step 14:
The labels and tags will need to be reattached.
