Ram Slide Floor Replacement
Remove the Slide Box from the Unit
1. The slide box is only attached to the unit where the slide rams bolt to the floor.
Remove all furniture from the slide.
2. Disconnect any wiring that goes up through the floor from inside of the slide. Feed
the wiring through the floor to be installed through the new slide floor.
3. Remove the nuts from underneath the slide and the bolts from inside the slide for
both rams. The tops of the bolts will be visible inside the slide on top of the carpet.
4. Remove the swing arm bracket and set wiring/swing arm aside to be reinstalled
later.
5. Once removed, the slide box will no longer be attached to the unit. Carefully slide
the box out without damaging the box or seals around it. Lay the box face down on a soft surface to prevent any
scratches.

Remove the Floor from the Slide Box
1. Remove the extrusion on the bottom of the end-walls. The extrusion will be attached with screws. Set the extrusions
aside to be reinstalled.
2. Remove the ski from the floor by carefully pulling it off. It is attached with double sided tape. Set aside to be reinstalled on the new floor.
3. The slide floor is attached to the end-walls with screws that should now be visible from where the ski was removed.
Remove the screws.
4. The floor is also attached to the slide face with a bracket. Remove the screws from the floor that attach it to the
bracket. Leave the bracket attached to the slide face.
5. The floor can now be removed. Remove the carpet to be reinstalled on the new floor; new carpet can used as well.
Save the old floor during the installation of the new one for reference on hole locations.

Install New Slide Floor
1. Measure the old floor and replace with the same size/thickness plywood. Protect the bottom of the plywood floor
with a waterproof paint/enamel.
2. Reinstall the floor using the steps above in reverse order. The carpet should be installed after the floor is installed and
before the slide box installed into the unit. Holes will need to be drilled for the wiring and bolts for the slide rams.
3. The slide may need to be adjusted for proper seal when the slide is extended and when the slide is in. See separate
document for adjusting slides.
