Condition
Some customers may comment on one or more of the following conditions:
• Fuel gauge intermittently displays erratic and/or empty readings
• MIL illuminated
Some technicians may find DTC P0462 (Fuel Level Sensor 1 Circuit Low Voltage)
displayed in the Engine Control Module (ECM).
Cause
This condition may be caused by erratic fuel value readings sent from the left fuel tank
level sensor.
Correction
If the customer concern has been verified, replace the left side fuel tank level sensor.
For vehicles repaired under the Emission coverage,
use the following labor operation. Reference the
Applicable Warranties section of Investigate Vehicle
History (IVH) for coverage information.
