PURPOSE
This bulletin contains important new model service
information and features for the 2022 Outlander
PHEV (U.S. models only). Review the details that
follow to familiarize yourself regarding new
features and options. Refer to the 2022
Outlander PHEV Service Manual on MEDIC, MDL, or
CD (p/n MSCD-027B-2022), and the Owner's Manual
for details on these and other features.
The 2022 Outlander PHEV has the same enhancements as 2021 for this last year of its life
cycle: more power, torque, range, enhanced acceleration in the city/on the highway and
expanded reaction range of the gas pedal for a sure start in snowy/icy conditions.

Standard on all Outlander PHEV trims and above is the Mitsubishi Power Sound System
(MPSS). This premium sound system replaces the previous Rockford Fosgate system. The
MPSS features 8 total speakers with titanium diaphragm and aluminum cone for clear and
natural sound.

INTERIOR
New Drive Mode Switch
Adopted to improve operation between
Normal, Snow and Lock modes.
An additional switch has been added for SPORT
mode.
SPORT mode enhances acceleration in the city
and on the highway.
SNOW mode expands the reaction range of the
gas pedal for a sure start in snowy or icy
conditions.
When the Drive mode switch is operated, the
list of selectable drive modes are shown on
the multi-information display to choose the
requested drive mode conveniently.
Sport mode can be selected directly by pushing
the switch regardless of the current mode.
After SPORT mode is selected, the selection
information is shown in the multi-information
display.
RECONFIGURED CHANGE / EV MODE CONFIGURATION
EV switch is moved from the floor console to the shift
indicator panel.
SAVE and CHRG switch are now combined.
