Rear Lamp Condensation

A customer may express a concern that there is moisture inside one of the rear
lamp assemblies.
Technical Description:

Under certain atmospheric conditions, it is normal to have slight misting/
condensation inside the lamp assembly.
Most misting/ condensation clears within 60 minutes of continuous lamp on
time.
Status:

The Rear lamp Diagnosis and Testing section in the Workshop Manual has been
updated to provide guidance on testing and what is normal and what is a fault.
Standing water or streaking water droplets is not acceptable and requires lamp
replacement.
Photographic evidence is required to be attach to the repair order for all claims of
rear lamp condensation, pre and post drying process.
