Coolant Hump Hose Replacement
Model Year 2017-2021 J4500 coach model: 67759 - 69938

APPLICABILITY:
Model Year 2017-2020 D4X0X coach model: 14197 – 15920
Model Year 2019-2021 D45CRT-LE coach model: 81000 – 81099
Model Year 2020 D4520 coach model: 81084, 81085
Read this entire procedure before beginning work.
Use Safe Shop Practices at All Times.
To avoid personal injury:
a. Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn. Safety glasses and protective gloves
are required for working with DEF Fluid.
b. Turn the main battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.
c. Ensure that both the front and the rear wheels are chocked.
d. Position the ENGINE RUN and ENGINE START switches on the engine compartment remote
control box to the OFF position.
e. Allow enough time for components to cool down prior to working in the engine compartment.

This bulletin is to inform of part number supersession of the coolant hump hose, MCI P/N: 6L-8-353, to
06-08-2262. Detailed location of the hose(s) for each coach model and engine configuration is shown
below.

Refer to Sections 4.1, 5.1, 6.1, 7.1, 8.1, 9.1 and 10.1.
If an order was placed for 6L-8-353, you will automatically receive the new 06-08-2262 hose from NFI
parts.

Replace the two hoses connected to the radiator and the hose connected to the trans cooler.
Torque the radiator side
clamps to 115 In-Lb
After installing the new hose, torque the two radiator side clamps to 115 In-Lb and the remaining six
clamps to 13 In-Lb

Coaches equipped with DD13 engine
Replace the two hoses connected to the trans cooler and the hose connected to the radiator.
Torque the radiator
side clamp to 115 In-Lb
After installing the new hose, torque the one clamp on the radiator to 115 In-Lb and the remaining ten
clamps to 13 In-Lb.
