Summary
Owner Notification Letter - Our records indicate that a EMISSIONS RECALL has not been completed on this vehicle (Vehicle Identification Number XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX). Under certain circumstances, your vehicle's powertrain control module (PCM) may not properly adjust the air-fuel ratio resulting in your vehicle releasing air pollutants which exceed California and Federal standards. In addition, your vehicle is equipped with an improperly functioning on-board emission-related diagnostic system that violates California and Federal standards and regulations.

What is the reason for this notice?
Our records indicate that a EMISSIONS RECALL has not been completed on this vehicle (Vehicle
Identification Number XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX). Under certain circumstances, your vehicle's powertrain
control module (PCM) may not properly adjust the air-fuel ratio resulting in your vehicle releasing air
pollutants which exceed California and Federal standards. In addition, your vehicle is equipped with an
improperly functioning on-board emission-related diagnostic system that violates California and Federal
standards and regulations.
You may have previously had your vehicle's PCM software updated for a similar issue, however, there is
updated software available, that your vehicle requires.
What will Honda do?
The dealer will update your vehicle’s PCM software for FREE.
Please call any authorized Honda
dealer and make an appointment to have your vehicle repaired for
FREE. Once you make an appointment for your vehicle, be advised that the total replacement process
may take approximately half a day. However, your dealer can provide you with a better estimate of the
overall time for this service visit, as it may be necessary to make your vehicle available for a longer period
of time. If you are not the only driver of this vehicle, please advise all other drivers and passengers of this
important information.
