Fig 1& 2: Inspect the trailer to locate the brake wiring.
If the wiring is located on the Door Side of the trailer, the axles must be rotated 180 degrees, so wiring is on the OFF Door Side

Fig 3: Raise the trailer so wheels are off the ground. Place jackstands (6,000 lbs min.) under the frame rail at all 4 corners.
Fig 4: Remove all wheel lugs on 4 wheels using the impact driver and 3/4" impact socket then remove the wheels.

Fig 7: Remove the two front spring equalizer shackle bolts .
Remove the same bolts (Fig 6 & Fig 7) on the door side of the trailer for the front axle.
Fig 8: The bolts have a knurled area under the bolt head, once these bolts are tightened, they have to be driven out.

Fig 9: To unseat the bolts once they have been torqued, use the sledge hammer and strike the nut (still attached to the bolt)
which will drive the head of the bolt loose.
Fig 10: Remove the rubber caps on the brake wiring and save them for re-use on the DS of the trailer.
Cut the brake wires just behind the copper crimp connectors.
The front axle is now free and can be lowered to the ground.

Place the floor jack under the rear axle to support it.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the bolts holding the springs on the rear axle.
(4 bolts on equalizers (both sides) and 2 bolts on the rear spring hanger brackets) DISCARD OLD HARDWARE
Remove the rubber caps on the wiring and save them for re-use.
Cut the wiring on the rear axle just behind the copper crimp connectors (Fig. 10)
The rear axle should now be free and can be lowered to the ground.

Rotate the axles 180 degrees so the brake wiring is now on the OFF DOOR SIDE of the trailer.
Remove the short jumper cable (Fig 2). This will be re-used on the Off Door Side.

Fig 11: Locate the brake cable coming from the front of the trailer, just forward of the front tire on the Off Door Side of the trailer.
Slit open the underbelly so you can locate the brake cable. The brake cable is a black sheathed cable .
Pull this cable down, it went across to the Door Side where the wiring was previously. Tape up the slit in the underbelly.
(The pipe in the corner of the photo is one of the waste water pipes)

Take loss the Gas line clamps to route the brake cable.

Fig 13 & Fig 14: Route the brake cable above the gas manifold and water lines.
Route the cable back to the front axle where it will be connected with the short jumper removed previously.
Replace the clamps for the gas line and manifold.

10 Place the floor jack under the reversed front axle and raise it into position. Wiring will now be on the Off Door Side of the trailer.
Fig 14: Insert NEW bolts through the yellow octagon plates and thru the end of the spring.
The longer side of the octagon plate should be facing up as shown in the photo.
Drive the Bolt heads in place with a sledge hammer in all locations.
Fig 15: When putting the NEW nuts back on the bolts, tighten until at least 2 threads protrude from the face of the nut.

11 Fig 16: When re-installing NEW bolts on the equalizer, make sure the shackle brackets are angled upwards as shown.
This is how the equalizer should look after bolts have been installed.
Tighten the 6 bolts for the front axle springs with the impact, socket and wrench.
Fig 17: At the front axle you will have 2 blue wires and 2 white wires.
The 2nd pair of Blue & White wires is from the jumper that was removed from the Door Side and brought over to the Off Door side.
Strip the wires back 3/8" to 1/2", then insert the following wires into a copper crimp connector:
Two WHITE wires and one BLACK wire from the wheel hub.
Two BLUE wires and one BLACK wire from the wheel hub.
Crimp the connectors on the wires, and then put a rubber boot over the connection.
Secure the wires to the axle with a wire tie to keep them out of harms way.
12 Use the floor jack and raise the reversed rear axle in place.
Insert NEW bolts through the yellow octagon plates and thru the end of the spring.
The longer side of the octagon plate should be facing up.
Drive the Bolt heads in all locations, in place with the sledge hammer.
When putting the NEW nuts back on the bolts, tighten until at least 2 threads protrude from the face of the nut.
Tighten the 6 bolts for the rear axle with the impact driver, socket and wrench.

12 Fig 18: Secure the short jumper cable up to the frame with P clamps and route it back to the rear axle.
There will be a single blue, a single white, and two black wires (coming from the wheel hub).
Strip the wires, and insert a BLUE and BLACK into a crimp connector and crimp it.
Insert the WHITE and other BLACK wire into a crimp connector and crimp it.

13 TORQUE ALL THE SPRING MOUNTING BOLTS (6) ON EACH SIDE OF THE TRAILER ( 30-50
Recommend using a digital torque wrench (if available).
Remove the floor jack, put the wheels back on the hubs, replace lug nuts.
Remove the floor jacks from under the trailer.
