DANGER

Park vehicle safely, apply parking brake, stop the engine. Prior to working on the vehicle, set the

ignition switch to the OFF position and trip the main circuit breakers equipped with a trip button. On

Commuter type vehicles, set the battery master switch (master cut-out) to the OFF position.

Lockout & Tag out (LOTO) must be performed during set-up, maintenance or repair activities. Refer to

your local procedure for detailed information regarding the control of hazardous energy.
1. Place the drilling template 37591 against the ceiling close to the from camera as shown

(FIGURE 1). Use the template to mark two holes on the ceiling panel with a center punch.

2. Remove the drilling template. Drill two 3/16 pilot holes where marked on the ceiling panel.

3. Remove the ceiling panel.

4. Using a cutter, perform two notches and clear the Velcro strip where the spring nuts (clip) will

be installed on the plastic trim (Figure 2).

5. Enlarge the two pilot holes to 17/64’’ diameter.

6. Install two spring nuts 5001406 (Figure 3).

7. Reinstall the ceiling panel.

8. Press the panel firmly so it will grip the Velcro strip.

9. Secure the panel using two new screws 509827 and two new finishing washers 500463 (Figure

4). Apply blue Loctite on the screws.
