The change over for ordering, from the TBB/Syntec FMVSS seat to the new Syntec S3B nonconvertible seat will occur Monday Sept-08-2014. The S3B sales codes are the same for all models
of buses and begin with “D”. The “B” code seats will be removed from the data book.
All quotes that have not been committed to order before this date will be returned to your dealership
and you will be required to resubmit the quote with the new seat numbers. The most significant
change is that seat ordering is made simpler, in that it is in the same format as you order Convertible
seats.
Pricing of the new seats is the same as the current seats. A “cheat sheet” of the most common seats
is attached for guidance, but ask that you verify with the data book as well. A more comprehensive
seat offering book compiled by Syntec is also attached and will be placed on the sales portal. Only
seats are affected, barriers remain the same.
The date for installation changeover has not been determined, but we are targeting the w/o Oct-13th
for Transit and Mino’s and no later than w/o Nov-24th for C2. TBB will do the change orders for
committed orders that have build dates past the installation changeover dates.
We have tested seat ordering and believe it will be seamless to you. As in all new programs expect
some glitches, so please be patient and work with Bonnie (336-841-5724) in resolving issues.
