488LPI Engine Spark Plug Update

Introduction
Agility Fuel Solutions LLC, a subsidiary of Hexagon Agility Inc. (Hexagon Agility®), has certified a new
replacement spark plug for use in the Agility® 488LPI engine.
After testing in numerous fleets across the county our findings indicate the new spark plugs last
significantly longer in the 488LPI propane engines.
The originally specified spark plug kit has been obsoleted and superseded by kit p/n 69000567. Going
forward the new Hexagon Agility® spark plug kit is the recommended service part.
Recommendation
During routine/recommended vehicle maintenance, replace with the new p/n 69000567 spark plug kit.



Always measure and properly gap p/n 69000567 (0.045-in plug gap) before
installing.
Properly torque spark plugs for the 488LPI heads to 22 ft-lb / 30Nm.
Hexagon Agility® does not recommend or promote the use any type of anti-seize
lubricant on spark plug threads. Plugs should be installed as boxed (dry).
Hexagon Agility® does not advise mixing of the old plugs; replace all plugs with
new plugs at the same time.

Hexagon Agility® will transition existing 488LPI engine literature from the originally specified plugs
to the new spark plugs as a matter of standard course.
