IF YOU CONFIRM


One or more of the DTCs listed in Table A below are stored in the Transmission
Control Module (TCM).

And


No other DTCs are stored other than what are listed in Table A.

And


The diagnostic procedures in the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for each DTC in
Table A, that is stored in the TCM, has been performed and indicates that the CVT
assembly must be replaced.
NOTE: Do not replace the CVT.

Replace the CVT valve body assembly (control valve) with a unit from Parts Information.


NOTE: For the Applied Vehicles:


The “CVT unit harness connector” may be left in place when replacing the CVT
control valve, when using the ESM procedures below.



Only remove those CVT control valve bolts that are marked with a “7” on the head to
remove CVT control valve.

For Control Valve replacement:
 Altima: refer to the appropriate Altima ESM, section TM – Transaxle &
Transmission.
 Rogue: refer to the 2013 Altima ESM, section TM – Transaxle & Transmission /
RE0F10D.

IMPORTANT:


When replacing the control valve, perform "ADDITIONAL SERVICE WHEN
REPLACING TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY". Refer to TM – Transaxle &
Transmission / BASIC INSPECTION.



Check the CVT fluid level, condition, and leakage.



Attach QR label with new calibration data onto inhibitor switch.



Install Write IP Characteristics to TCM.
