INTRODUCTION
Nissan is conducting a campaign on certain specific 2015 and 2016 GT-R vehicles sold in
Puerto Rico to replace the certification label. This service will be performed at no cost to the
customer for parts or labor.

IDENTIFICATION NUMBER
Nissan has assigned identification number P5334 to this campaign. This number must
appear on all communications and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign.

DEALER RESPONSIBILITY
It is the dealer’s responsibility to check Service Comm for the campaign status on each
vehicle falling within the range of this voluntary safety recall which for any reason enters the
service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties or presented by
transient (tourist) owners and vehicles in a dealer’s inventory. Federal law requires that
new vehicles in dealer inventory which are the subject of a safety recall must be
corrected prior to sale. Failure to do so can result in civil penalties by the National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration. While federal law applies only to new vehicles,
Nissan strongly encourages dealers to correct any used vehicles in their inventory before
they are retailed.

Nissan Bulletins are intended for use by qualified technicians, not 'do-it-yourselfers'. Qualified technicians are properly
trained individuals who have the equipment, tools, safety instruction, and know-how to do a job properly and safely.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Park the vehicle in a safe place with:


Automatic transmission in Park.



Ignition OFF.



Parking brake ON/applied.

2. Open the driver door.
3. Locate the certification label (Figure 1).
NOTE: The certification label has the VIN
on it.

4. Confirm the VIN on the new certification
label matches the VIN on the certification
label that is currently attached to the
vehicle (Figure 2).

5. Clean the area around the current
certification label (Figure 3).


Use 50/50 solution of isopropyl alcohol
and water, allow the area to dry.

NOTE: Do not use harsh chemicals
that may damage the painted surface.

6. Mark the location of the current
certification label with painters tape.
NOTE: Apply tape along one vertical and
one horizontal edge.

7. Use a plastic trim tool to peel and remove
the current certification label (Figure 4).


Take great care not to damage the
paint.

8. Clean the area where the old certification
label was attached (Figure 5).


Use 50/50 solution of isopropyl alcohol
and water; allow the area to dry.

It is important that the surface is free of
any dirt and oil to ensure proper
adhesion of the new label.

9. Attach the new certification label:
a. Peel the new certification label from its
backing sheet.
b. Line up the new certification label with
the painters tape (Figure 6).
c. Attach the new certification label from
the top down.
IMPORTANT:
 The adhesive on the label is
permanent.


Extra care should be taken
when applying the new label
since it cannot be moved once it
is attached.
