Update - Battery assembly for Hypermotard 950 MY2022 Applicability: Hypermotard 950 MY2022 (all versions). This service bulletin informs dealers and service managers of the availability of a new smaller battery for the listed model. It further explains how the new battery will require installation of a mounting tray and therefore updated assembly procedures. Associated parts information, updated service procedures are also included in the bulletin.

Dear Dealers,
This bulletin is to provide you with an update on the battery assembling procedure for the
Hypermotard 950 Model Year 2022. The Yuasa battery has changed from the YT12B-BS
model to the YT7B-BS model (therefore smaller in size).
To compensate for the difference in height, the battery support tray Part no. 87910021A, has
been introduced and will be supplied in the PDI kit with the new motorcycle.

Service Repair Bulletin SRV-SRB-21-027
Tray Part no. 87910021A with the relevant battery must be installed as follows:
1. Loosen strap (1) by detaching flaps (2) from the Velcro.
2. Position tray (3) inside the battery compartment (4), aiming it as shown in the figure, and
making sure that the drain holes (5) are facing the left side of the vehicle.
3. Position battery (6) on the tray, aiming it as shown in the figure.
4. Secure battery (6) in place by pulling flaps (2) and attaching them to the Velcro strap (1),
as shown in the figure.

5. Fasten motorcycle positive cable (7) and ABS positive cable (8) to battery positive pole as
shown in the figure.
6. Fasten motorcycle negative cable (9) to battery negative pole in the direction shown in
the figure.
7. Tighten the 2 screws (10) to a torque of 3 Nm.
8. Fit cap (11) onto the positive pole, as shown in the figure.
ATTENTION
Make sure the motorcycle negative cable (9) is positioned below the strap, as
shown in the figure.
