The affected vehicles have been marked with campaign number 0013370000 in AIR.
In order to determine if a specific vehicle is affected by this campaign it will be necessary to verify the
vehicle VIN in AIR (Aftersales Information Research). Based on the response of the system, either proceed
with the repair or take no further action. Please note, open campaigns or vehicle stops may not appear in
DCS Warranty Vehicle Inquiry or sales systems until 24-72 hours after they are announced, therefore AIR is
always the recommended method for determining open campaigns and vehicle stops.

SITUATION
In model year 2021, the option package “Ride Modes Pro” includes “MSR” (Engine drag torque control).
Affected motorcycles were equipped with the “Ride Modes Pro” package without MRS which was supposed
to be included.

CORRECTION
As of December 1, 2020, vehicles with “Ride Modes Pro” package were produced with MSR enabled.

PROCEDURE
Use “Vehicle Modification” function in ISTA to add MSR to the bike, following the instructions below:

Vehicle management -> Vehicle modification -> Immediate measures -> Show measures plan

Vehicle order import

Vehicle order import for the vehicle identification numbers (VIN of the vehicle on the diagnostic tester) has
been re-quested.
Attention!
A vehicle order that was provided by Technical Support cannot be changed.
Press "Next" to import the vehicle order; otherwise, press "Cancel" to exit
→ Confirm "Next"

Note: All retrofits/conversions will be lost when the build level is selected. If necessary, contact Technical
Support.

→ Select "Build level (vehicle order used for production)"
→ Confirm "Next"

Vehicle order import

The imported vehicle order is different from the stored vehicle order in the vehicle.
Added vehicle order elements:

Removed vehicle order elements:

(Any retrofits that have already occurred are listed here)

Press "Next" to remove any measures that already exist in the measures plan.
Further measures cannot be added until after the vehicle order has been imported.
→ Confirm "Next"

6.

Vehicle order import

The "Vehicle order import" action is added to the measures plan.
The measures plan must be calculated and executed to finish the vehicle order import.
→ Confirm "Calculate measures plan"

7.

Accept and execute the measures plan.

8.

Execute complete encoding.

9.

If necessary, removed options must be retrofitted again with ISTA.

Programming control units of vehicle (along with testing software), 2 FRUs

FRUs includes all repair procedures to complete the task with allowance for necessary ancillary tasks (e.g.,
visual inspection, lubrication, cleaning parts etc.) and administrative tasks.
Labor operation code 61 00 002 is a Main labor operation. If you are using a Main labor code for another
repair, use the Plus code labor operation instead.
