Volvo Car USA has partnered with Wurth USA for an Insulated hand tool offer. The insulated tools being
offered were carefully selected working closely with our Training Instructors. The kit includes the hand
tools necessary for a technician to safely work on Battery Electric Vehicles. Tools are provided in (2)
two transportable carry cases with laser cut high density foam.
Available for pre-order now for fulfilment and shipping beginning April 1st 2021

Guidelines • faq’s • limited warranty policy
All hand tools meet requirements for working in systems with up to 1,000 volts alternating current (AC) or 1,500
volts direct current (DC).
Due to the specialist nature of EV Hand Tools, we always suggest that they are stored in a tool storage bag, case,
or cabinet and prevented from touching each other (or any other tools). In other words, they are safely segregated
to avoid any damage to the insulation. Furthermore, we recommend that prior to use, the tool is removed from its
safe storage location and the insulation carefully inspected prior to commencing work. After the work is completed,
each tool should be inspected again for any damage. If any damage is found, the tool should be taken out of
service immediately and replacement ordered--if there is any doubt at all about the integrity, do not use the tool!
What is VDE?
The VDE Testing and Certification Institute is a nationally accredited institution in the field of testing and certification
of electrical engineering devices, components, and systems. These electrical products are tested for safety,
electromagnetic compatibility and other product properties.
What is IEC 60900:2004?
An international standard for which among many things, describes the design of insulated tools in details.
Such details for example can include the thickness of the protective insulation required. Additionally, the standard
defines individual tests (piece tests) as well as series and random sample tests for checking the electrical safety of
the protective insulation.
Cleaning & Care:
Maintain integrity of insulated tools by keeping them clean, dry and contaminant free. For cleaning, a soft cloth is
recommended with a non-corrosive cleaner, like dish soap & water (do not immerse into water and ensure tools are
thoroughly dry before storing and for future use). Non-aggressive cleaning wipes can also be used.

This limited warranty policy represents Würth USA Inc.’s commitment to our customers and our effort in ensuring the
quality of our products. These EV hand tools are covered by a standard 12-month warranty, from date of purchase,
against defects caused by either design or manufacturing. This Limited Warranty Policy does not apply to any
malfunctions caused by; (i) normal wear and tear, (ii) unreasonable and/or improper use, abuse, storage, cleaning
& care, (iii) repair or service by unauthorized persons, and (iv) modifications and/or alterations made without
manufacturing permission. A proof of purchase is required for warranty claims. Contact your sales representative
