There is a wiring diagram G66-09489-000 listed under that VIN. There is a small section in the
Troubleshooting manual in section 1.09.011 talking about the occupancy sensor. | couldn't find
any troubleshooting either but going off the diagram might get you a little farther. I'm not sure
on the circuitry but you can at least check the wiring from the sensor to the SSAM. Then |
would leave the meter hooked up to the connector at the SSAM with all other connectors
connected. Occupy the seat and see if anything changes on the meter. I'm not sure if the
switch is normally closed or open.
There is also a section in the workshop manual 91.00.110 talking about the lower seat cushion.
The sensor is built into it but has a picture showing where the connector is.

The sensor might not be an open close switch. For diagnostic feedback, it is possible it has
one QO value when unoccupied and another 0 when occupied, in this way the aSAM can detect
open circuit and short circuit faults in addition to occupied and unoccupied.
lf only the SOS Spec 26-01293-000 was authorized for distribution Feedback our hands

| wonder if it could be a parameter in the sSam as well. If the seat is wired to the Sam and that
data is multiplexed to the vrdu.

If the wiring checked out and we're getting two different readings with a meter when sitting off
and on the seat, | was leading that way that there might be a parameter issue.

Did this one have an active brake message on the dash? We had a driver calling saying he had
changed out his seat. After changing the seat he had an active brake message come up on the
ICU. He said the original seal did have wiring going to it. He tried just jumping the wires

together but that didnt work. Doubtful we will get to work on the truck as it sounds like he was
just passing by the dealership. The vin is LS6876. Does show the G66 mentioned above. Is also
reporting the occupant sensor fault as well in VT.
Right now it is just a general curiosity. Cause I've seen the two wire going to the seat belts for
the indicator is that the same as the occupant sensor, but only figured it was for the seat belt
warning indicator.
| was leaning towards it being a coincidence still kind of am. As | cant find any other supporting
evidence other than the fault mentioned in the thread being reported by the VRDU. Nor do |
remember info on the seat in the Assurance training modules.
If the Assurance system has the option of being tied into the seat belt/occupant sensor it is
defiantly good info to have in the back of ones pocket.

Just had a unit come in for this fault, found that both terminals were not seated in connector
right at base of seat. Installed terminals and fault would not go inactive, after messing with
checking resistances just thought to try sitting in seat and fault went inactive once | sat in the
seat. Just thought I'd let people know.
