Please note that in individual cases there may be a failure of the central computer (PCM) during the
performing of sequence 4.
In order to be able to analyze these failures and to avoid hardware replacement, we would like to ask
you for the following:
1. Before entering the programming code K4M4S (TI 16/21 Step 6.9 ), an extended logging
should be started. This is started with the key combination Ctrl + L. This extended logging is
necessary for the analysis of the programming abort.
2. Please observe the central display in the vehicle until the update has started (processing bar is
displayed in the central display).
3. If the update stops during this process, please refer to TI 101/20PCM Update Cannot be
Performed/Stops.
4. If an abort occurs, please create a PIWIS Tester screenshot and open and send a PRMS Ticket
with the extended logging, the screenshot and a detailed description of the programming abort.
If the screen remains black, the PCM must be replaced.

Overview

So ware optimizations are available for various control units for the Taycan.
The total update duration is up to 4 hours divided into 4 sequences:
Sequence 1: approx. 100 minutes
Sequence 2: approx. 70 minutes
Sequence 3: approx. 30 minutes
Sequence 4: approx. 50 minutes
An overview of the control units programmed and coded within the respective sequence as well as the
new features implemented with the so ware update can be found in the Technical Information.
Please arrange for this measure to be carried out on the a ected vehicles immediately.

* The PCM control unit so ware update is performed using a USB storage medium. The so ware
version that is speci c to each region must be downloaded using the so ware tool PiUS (Porsche
integrated Update Service) and must be installed on a blank USB storage medium.
Pay particular attention to the following:
For this PCM so ware update, the USB storage medium USB Type A+C 32 GB with the part
number V04014999WW000 must be used.
To use the so ware tool, one blank or re-writable USB storage medium is required for each
individual so ware update.
The so ware available in PiUS must only be used in accordance with the instructions provided in a
Technical Information published for this purpose.
You will nd further information on how to install and use the PiUS so ware tool in the PPN under PiUS
(Porsche integrated Update Service) goes live.

For replacement requirements of HV components,
HV battery, traction motor VA /HA, 12-volt onboard power supply battery, please refer to the
relevant technical information.

With the publication of the workshop campaign
WMA6, relevant parts in the Electronic Parts
Catalog (PET) will be adapted. For this reason, it is
mandatory to order the required spare parts
according to the control in the PET.

Warranty processing
Validity:
This workshop campaign will be carried out up to 2/25/2026 and will be closed by the speci ed date.
Please note that warranty claims can only be processed before this date.
Information on the working time:
Generally, the working time includes all work that requires the active participation of the service
technician.
This also covers all required preliminary work and subsequent work.
The working time includes the following activities during control unit programming:
All required steps for starting or nishing programming
Required interaction during a programming sequence
Waiting times until programming starts
Random check of programming status
If no further interaction by the service technician is required once control unit programming has started
because programming is performed automatically, there is no need for the service technician to remain
at the vehicle for the entire programming time.
These waiting times are not included in the working time if the total programming time is more than 15
minutes.

Please enter the campaign that was carried out in the Warranty and Maintenance booklet for the
vehicle.

Porsche Mobility

If requested, the mobility of the a ected customer can be assured by o ering a suitable replacement
vehicle.

Please note: speci cally for Taycan So ware Updates WMA5 and WMA6, PCNA is pleased to extend
to dealers an increased reimbursement of up to $250 towards dealer cost for atbed pickup and
delivery to carry out these important so ware updates.
This increase from the Porsche At Your Service from $100 is on a per RO basis and is only valid for
campaigns WMA5 and WMA6.
Flatbed pickup and delivery service cannot be combined with a warranty service loaner reimbursement.
Please invoice these additional services with the campaign scope via WWS. Standard warranty policies
apply.
