This service bulletin applies to certain 2020 thru 2022 model year K2, K3
and K4 model Spartan RV motor home chassis with Vehicle Date of
Manufacture (VDM) between December 12, 2019 and December 05, 2020
that are equipped with an Independent Front Suspension supplied by
Reyco Granning, LLC.

CONDITION:

The IFS lower shock mounting bracket fasteners may become loose over
time and can shear, leaving the shock bracket dislodged from its
intended location.

Threaded holes on lower control arm to be cleaned with wire bottle brush or similar to remove
contaminants such as, but not limited to, thread locker and oil.
Refer to Reyco Granning Owner’s Manual D710551 for additional detail.
Referring to Figure 1, perform the following instructions one fastener at a time for each of the 4 bolts
attaching the lower shock bracket to lower control arm. Use a cross pattern sequence.

Figure 1
1. Remove and discard bolt.
2. Clean threads in the lower control arm.
3. Install new 3/8-16 x 1.25” bolt and 3/8” Nord-Lock® washer. Torque to 35 LB-FT +/- 5 LB-FT.
Mark fastener to indicate it has been torqued.

4. Repeat steps 1 thru 3 for three remaining bolts.

5. Repeat steps 1 thru 4 for opposite lower shock mounting bracket fasteners.
6. Document IFS serial number.
o Serial number is listed on data tag located on front face of driver side air spring tower.
Reference Figure 2 & Figure 3 for serial number location.
