Engine fan running all the time on DD15 VIN#BV2843. Ref schematic GO6-73922-000 another

tech has already performed an overlay on pin 98 from the MCM to pin B at the solenoid wire

#439L bypassing the 10cav connector. Customer replaced Fan and Fan solenoid. Have load

tested overlay and Pin A to pin 91. Verified the fan clutch opens when air is applied, replaced

HVAC transducer due to reading incorrect and inspected wiring and is now reading correct.

Fan only cuts off when ground is applied through a back probe at either the solenoid or at the

MCM pin 98. Installed and programmed test MCM to the latest level and the fan began

operating normal, but when the new MCM was installed and programmed the fan immediately

went back to running all the time again. Swapped back to the test MCM and had no change, still

running all the time. Went back through T/S load testing all circuits and monitoring fan with

DDL and there is no requests from MCM, CPC, or HVAC for the fan to turn on. Went through

parameters and set Fan to single speed, set PWM14 to Fan1, Set PWM6 to "Not Parameterized"

and verified CPC parameters per the attachment. Have source voltage on pin A to BAT- and

2.3v on pin B to BAT-

why did customer replaced fan and solenoid, just make sure solenoid connected correctly. and

it's the good part..

Found issue being MCM programming. | compared all parameters to OEM and even compared

to another unit and thought had them all matching, but when flashing the MCM back to OEM

settings the fan went back to normal operation so not really sure what parameter was the

issue. Guess | made the post a little premature after 8 hours with no solution and 30min after |

posted | got it running normal lol.
