Work Instructions
1.

Park the vehicle on a level surface, shut down the engine, set the parking brakes, and chock the rear tires.

2.

Remove the fifth wheel assembly.
If needed, refer to the appropriate section in group 31 in either the Cascadia Workshop Manual, New
Cascadia Workshop Manual, or the 122SD and Coronado Workshop Manual

3.

Remove the cracked fifth wheel assembly mounting angles from the frame rails. See Fig. 1.

NOTE: Ensure that new part number frame rails are being installed. For a list of new part numbers, see
Table 1.

Install the new fifth wheel assembly mounting angles on the frame rails. Verify that the top mounting surfaces of the angles and the top flange of the frame rails are flush. See Fig. 2 and Fig. 3.

Install the fifth wheel assembly.

6.

Ensure all fasteners have been torqued to specified values. See Table 2 for values for M16 fasteners. Refer to Section 01.04.400 in applicable vehicle workshop manual for additional specifications.
