Product Change Notice - New HVAC with Integrated Generator Genie
Dear Valued Customer:
Please be advised that in our continuing effort to improve our customer’s experience, Lippert Components
is releasing a new version of our MyRV HVAC controller (HVAC 2.0) with integrated Generator Genie. This
update adds additional features and an improved user interface.
What has changed?
The new MyRV HVAC Controller includes the following additions and enhancements:
• Support for Dometic HVAC systems.
• The ability to auto-start the generator when the vehicle’s battery falls below a user-defined voltage or
when the generator is needed to run the air conditioner.
• A three-zone version in addition to the previously available two-zone and single-zone versions.
• This update includes corresponding changes to our OneControl Touch Panel and OneControl mobile app
to control and enable the new features, including:
• An updated user interface with improved status information and menus to access the advanced features.
• Options to set quiet hours during which the generator will not activate.
• Options to set the voltage value at which the generator will auto-start.
• Options to enable auto-start of the generator if needed to run the air conditioner.
• Options to set the system time.
The new MyRV HVAC Controller requires a new HVAC interface harness to connect the controller to the vehicle’s HVAC system. Dometic customers will need to purchase an interface board from their Dometic dealer.
Part number information can be found at the end of this PCN.
What has not changed?
• The physical size and mounting tabs of the MyRV HVAC Controller will not change with this update.
User interface changes
The new OneControl generator control interface is shown in (Fig. 1).

Enabling and controlling the new features
Advanced features and system settings are accessed through the options button (three ellipsis) at the topright of the generator control main screen. Advanced features are divided into three main categories:
General (Fig. 2)
Options to set the generator maintenance interval and reset the interval when maintenance is performed.
These features are unchanged from the previous version of Generator Genie.

Auto Start (Fig. 3)
Options to enable and control the auto-start features. The following settings are available:
Auto Start Voltage
Enable the auto-start on low voltage feature and select the battery voltage below on which the generator
will be started
Auto Start when needed by A/C
Enable the auto-start when needed
by A/C feature. The controller uses an
algorithm based on cooling time and
temperature change to determine if a
climate zone is properly cooling. When
this feature is enabled, the generator
will be auto-started when the following
conditions are met:
1. The generator is not running.
2. A climate zone is set to cooling
mode.
3. The climate zone has been trying to

cool for 5 minutes.
4. The set temperature is more than 4 °F lower than the zone temperature.
5. The zone temperature has not decreased by at least 0.5 °F since the zone started cooling.
Auto Start Duration
Sets the minimum time the generator will run once auto-started.
Auto Start Off Duration
Sets the minimum time the generator will remain off after an auto-start cycle. The Generator Genie will not
restart the generator again until this time period has elapsed.

Quiet Hours (Fig. 4, Fig. 5 and Fig. 6)
Options to enable and control the quiet hours feature. The following settings are available:
Quiet Hours Enabled
Enable or disable the quiet hours feature.
Start Time and End Time
Set the start time and end time of the quiet hours interval. Between these times, the generator with not be
auto-started, regardless of the battery voltage.
Set RV Time
Opens a dialog box to allow the current time to be set into the system. This time is saved in the Generator
Genie controller and is used to determine quiet hour time.

The single-zone and dual-zone controllers are available for purchase today. The three-zone controller is
available for prototypes today and will be available for production in December, 2017. Please contact your

Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Are the original parts still available for purchase? Yes, for a limited time. The original parts will continue
to be available for a limited time as we transition all customers to the new parts. After the transition is
complete, the original parts will be available for service and warranty replacement only.
2. Are the new parts interchangeable with the previous version of the parts? No. The new HVAC with integrated Generator Genie is not compatible with older versions of our OneControl Touch Panel. We will
maintain stock of the old controllers for service and warranty.
3. Will new part numbers be required? Yes. See above.
4. Does the customer need to replace inventory? No.
