Misc. Tools & Supplies:
INSPECTION
Determine if the Fogatti water heater is installed in the unit (it will
say Fogatti in the upper left corner of the door). The water heater
will be located on the off door side of the unit. If it is a Fogatti
water heater, continue with the inspection.
The latch will allow you to open the water heater door for access to
the water heater.

Locate the drain valve at the end of the clear hose on the right side
of the water heater. Using pliers, turn the drain valve counter
clockwise.
If antifreeze drains from the hose, the water heater has been
winterized and no futher action is required.
If no antifreeze drains from the hose, retighten the valve and
proceed with the following instructions.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Open the door to access the
water heater. Visually inspect
all of the copper coils and the
plastic coupler for cracks.
Replace the water heater when
inspection notes damage.
Authorization is required from
Customer Service prior to ordering a
new water heater.
Proceed with the winterization
process when Inspection does
not find damage.

2. To winterize, attach a siphon hose to the city water
connection. The winterization setting on the docking
station will not be used.
3. Turn the red lever on the docking station up. This setting
will siphon from the hose through the water heater and
then through the system.
NOTE: There is no configuration label on the docking
station for this configuration.
4. Put the siphon hose in a bucket of antifreeze and proceed to
the normal winterization process (reference the owner’s
manual for detail information on the winterization process).
