Technical Hub Tips and Quick Guide
This policy letter contains tips and quick guide information on the Technical Hub website to help you use the system. It
has the parts that follow:

Accessing Technical Hub
Click on the link that follows to access the Technical Hub website: Technical Hub
Technical Hub and Spotlight use Single Sign On. You will need to have your username and password available to access
both these websites. If you are not sure, or your login details do not appear to work, please contact:

User Inbox
1.

On the main menu page of Technical Hub, click on
your login identity (refer to Figure 1).
Note: The number displayed to the right of the
login identity denotes the number of unread
messages in your inbox.

Click on ‘Inbox’ (refer to Figure 2).

3.

Your message inbox will appear (refer to Figure 3).
Click on a message to open it or use the Search
function to find a message.

Forwarding Notifications to an Email Address

From the main menu page of Technical Hub (refer
to Figure 1) click on ‘Options’ (refer to Figure 4).

Click on the box to receive notifications by email
(refer to Figure 5).

Favourite Vehicles/VIN’s
Vehicles can be added to your favourites to allow quick access to vehicles in your Dealership.
1.

To add a vehicle to your favourites, in the “Vehicle
Lookup” window enter the vehicle VIN, then click
“FIND” (refer to Figure 7).

Click on the star icon in the “Vehicle Information”
window (refer to Figure 8).

To find the favourite vehicle, click on the star icon in
the “Vehicle Lookup” window (refer to Figure 9).

Recent Lookups
Recent Lookups lets you quickly access any regularly viewed vehicles.
1.

Click on the “Recent Lookups” icon in the “Vehicle
Lookup” window (refer to Figure 10).

Favourite Documents
Favourite Documents lets you add regularly viewed documents to the home page of Technical Hub.
1.

To add a document to your favourite documents,
click on the star icon when you view a document
(refer to Figure 12).

The document will now be added to “Favourite
Documents” on the Technical Hub home page
(refer to Figure 13).
Note: To remove a document from your favourites
click on the star icon.

A Search reviews text in both the title and content of every document. The following functions can be used when
searching for parts of words, or word combinations.
Wildcards
A wildcard is useful when only part of a word is known.

Brackets () can be used to group the functions.

Connection Speed
When you access Technical Hub and the 3D parts catalogues, please make sure that you have a stable and wired internet
connection where possible. This will reduce the loading time for the 3D parts catalogues. Refer to SPL-30-0532 for
further information.
