The customer reports they routinely experience difficulty fueling the vehicle at different fuel
stations (filling nozzle shuts off every few seconds while filling at multiple stations and using
multiple filling pumps) on an APPLIED VEHICLE produced within the APPLIED DATE
RANGE listed above.

ACTION
Replace the fuel tank with the parts listed in PARTS INFORMATION on the next page of
this bulletin.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

To prevent serious burns, avoid contact with hot metal parts. Perform the operation after
the exhaust system has fully cooled down because the system will be hot just after the
engine stops.

Replace the fuel tank.


For fuel tank replacement, refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM), section:
ENGINE > FUEL SYSTEM > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FUEL TANK.
