4.5.1. Derate Active Indicator
When Blue iQ diminishes power during a Derate, the driver may still
use other gauge functions.
Derate Active Indicator
When the Blue iQ gauge is toggled to display Fuel Level or other
parameters, an uppercase “D” at the upper right edge of the screen
indicates the continued presence of the Derate Active condition.
Refuel ASAP to eliminate derate condition.

4.5.2. Override Derate
To temporarily disable a Derate Active condition when more power is required either:
1. Select “Override” on the Blue iQ gauge by pressing the RIGHT button,

2. Carefully depress the accelerator pedal rapidly in two full ranges of motion in less than one second.
Never allow Blue iQ gauge use to interfere with safe vehicle operation.
Derate override will result in increased fuel usage which is already at a critical level.

Derate override is NOT recommended except in extreme conditions.
Derate condition will automatically resume upon next key on.

Use the Intensity (brightness) and Contrast screens to increase or decrease Blue iQ gauge display brightness and contrast.

6. Fuel System Over Temperature Warning
If temperatures over 165°F/74°C occur in or near the CNG cylinder enclosure, the Blue iQ gauge displays
a “FUEL SYS TEMP” over temperature warning message and the LED indicator will flash red.
Over temperature warning may indicate a fire in or near
the fuel system.
As soon as it is safe to do so, park vehicle, turn ignition
off, and investigate the over temperature condition.
In case of fire, call 9-1-1 and report the emergency.
Refer to vehicle emergency shutdown procedure.
Have service personnel verify over temperature warning
root cause.
Fuel System Over Temperature Warning is a “sticky” screen; it cannot be overridden once displayed.
Display will self reset if the temperature returns to normal range.

7. System Faults
The Blue iQ gauge display may indicate CNG System Faults under the certain conditions.
It is safe to operate the vehicle with faults, but always notify service personnel when fault messages appear.
Blue iQ® fault codes do not trigger OEM check engine lights (CELs).

Service technicians may use Cummins® INSITE™ to retrieve fault codes to diagnose Blue iQ system issues.
Agility®
Blue iQ system fault messages can represent multiple fault codes.
8. System Components
Fuel filler door – If fuel door is not closed, Drive Away Protection (DAP) feature prevents engine start to guard against leaving CNG dispenser with fuel hose attached.
Fuel Management Module (FMM) – User fuel system interface comprising fuel fill, flow, filtration, pressure regulation, and control components; defuel components.
Fuel pressure sensor – HP fuel filter mounted transducer in the FMM monitors fuel system pressure.
Fuel receptacle dust caps – Dual-purpose fuel filler covers prevent debris and moisture intrusion and provide DAP to guard against leaving fuel dispenser with fuel
hose attached.
Fuel System Control Module (FSCM) – Black box mounted in the Fuel Management Module (FMM) which controls and monitors fuel system functions.
Note: component looks like the Cummins after treatment controller.
Blue iQ gauge – Dash mounted driver performance aid and fuel system monitor.
Thermistors – Two thermistors measure temperatures inside fuel system enclosures to deliver accurate temperature-compensated fuel readings.
Apart from fuel receptacle caps, no Blue iQ components are user serviceable; take vehicle to service personnel.
