P3 Cascadia tail lights stay on Jan 22, 2021 9:59 PM

i have a 2015 CA125DC -- GX4469 -- the tail lights stay on all the time. i can see the IO controls change state

from on to off when i turn the head light switch to the on position. when i turn the head light switch off it shows

that the lights turn off. when the switch is off and i try to turn on the tail lights it says "busy" for about 1 second

and stays in the off position. i do not have any faults for this system. all other lights are off when the key is off

and the doors are closed. i have checked my fuses and relays. i cant find any info on it. any help would be

appreciated

Water intrusion in the SAM Chassis most likely the culprit. Remove the connectors and check for corrosion.

I agree with Jon. I've seen dozens with the brake lights on all the time. and now me and the shop foreman joke

every time a customer brings on in and that is the complaint and say " what you want to bet it's a SAM Chassis

full of water". Typically its due to customers loosing the cover for the fuses or they replaced the Module but

didn't order the updated cover kit. But occasionally we do have corrosion on the interior connectors (even with

the drip loop and the plastic shield installed).

ya thats exactly what it is. i pulled a couple of the relays just to verify and they are full of corrosion and rust
