Condition
After PDI, during the road test, a tire pressure monitoring warning appears in the instrument cluster. The message
says service is required.
Technical Background
Porsche
is investigating this issue and we expect to provide a permanent solution shortly.
Service Information
As an interim solution, please manually teach the wheel IDs with the PIWIS tester using the instructions in
WM 443455 Replacing control unit for Tire Pressure Monitoring (TPM).
Please note the following:
•
Use Piwis Tester 3 software version 39.900.045 or higher
•
Enter an initial/leading “0” (zero) before entering the wheel ID (found on sensor body)
If manually entering/teaching the wheel IDs is not successful, replace the TPMS wheel electronics/sensors (part
number as per PET – orange/black sensors)
When a permanent solution is available, we will adjust or remove this document.
