Complaint:

Park Assist warnings (e.g. acoustic/visual warnings from parking sensors) without obvious cause

Cause:

The reasons stated below may lead to problems that must be noted:
1. Accessories license plate number frame mounted to front bumper.
2. Front license plate number incorrectly aligned.
3. Furthermore, removable accessories that are located in the range of the PARKTRONIC sensors.
4. Reduced vehicle driving height, which may result in echoes from the ground.
5. Snow, slush, hailstones, sleet, heavy rain.
6. A gush of water that runs over the vehicle hood and down the parking sensors when braking.
7. Sensors badly soiled.
8. External ultrasonic sources such as air brake systems, compressed-air hammer, brake squeals from a vehicle in
the immediate vicinity, etc.
9. In underground electric induction loops, at traffic lights or in parking garages.
10. Waste heat from overheated engines (exhaust) forms in front of vehicle when it is at a standstill

Remedy:

Re. 1 to 11: Address these causes or factors in the usual way or explain them to the customer.
Re. 12: Check system response with comparable vehicle of model series 213 facelift / 238 facelift. If the response of
both vehicles is similar/identical, then
