This Notice applies to your vehicle VIN listed above.

Forest River is alerting you to an issue involving certain 2021 Impression Fifth-Wheel Trailer Recreational Vehicles.
Please see the information below, which describes the issue and provides you with details on the steps you should take to
have your vehicle repaired.
WHAT IS THE ISSUE?
The black tank flush feature is plumbed incorrectly, which will not allow flushing of the black tank.
OWNERS: WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
The vehicle Owner is responsible for arranging to have the work completed. Please state you have been notified by
Forest River of the issue and provide the TSB number (located at the top of this page) to the dealership. It is also helpful
to give the dealership a copy of this letter when you take your vehicle in for the repair.

HOW LONG WILL THE REMEDY PROCESS TAKE?
The estimated time of repair is .30 hours. However, the dealership may need to keep your vehicle or schedule an
appointment with you for a later date to fit into their regular service schedule.

Disconnect the vehicles’ battery Positive and Negative, disconnect any House battery(s) Positive and
Negative, if equipped with a generator ensure it is off and lastly, ensure the vehicle is disconnected from
shore power. Block any tires/wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling. Failure to do so may result in
electrocution, fire or other personal injury, property damage and/or death.
MODELS AFFECTED: MPF240RE-83, MPF270RK, MPF270RK-83, MPF290VB, MPF290VB-83, MPF315MB AND MPF315MB-83
STEP 1: ENSURE THERE IS NO WATER HOOKED UP TO THE “BLACK TANK FLUSH” CONNECTION IN THE “WATER MANAGEMENT
SYSTEM”. IF THERE IS, DISCONNECT AND ALLOW TO DRAIN (FIGURE 1);
STEP 2: LOCATE THE BLACK TANK FLUSH VALVE IN THE LAVATORY SINK BASE;
STEP 3: LOCATE THE BLACK TANK FLUSH VALVE. THIS VALVE WILL HAVE A BLACK HOSE AND A BLUE WATER LINE CONNECTED TO IT.
THE CONNECTION SHOULD LOOK LIKE FIGURE 2, WHICH IS PLUMBED INCORRECTLY;
STEP 4: EMBOSSED ON THE BLACK TANK FLUSH VALVE IS AN ARROW, WHICH SIGNIFIES THE DIRECTIONAL FLOW OF WATER;
STEP 5: REMOVE THE BLUE WATER LINE AND THE BLACK HOSE FROM THE BLACK TANK FLUSH VALVE;
STEP 6: RECONNECT AND TIGHTEN THE BLUE WATER LINE TO THE VALVE WITH THE ARROW (FIGURE 3), WHICH WILL ALLOW WATER
FLOW TO THE BLACK TANK AND FLUSH THE TANK AS DESIGNED;
STEP 7: RECONNECT AND TIGHTEN THE BLACK HOSE TO THE REAR-END OF THE VALVE WITH A 90° FITTING (FIGURE 3), THIS WILL
ALLOW WATER TO FLOW TO THE VALVE FROM THE HOSE HOOKUP IN THE WATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM;
STEP 8: DOUBLE CHECK YOUR WORK, ENSURE THE VALVE IS PLUMBED TO REFLECT FIGURE 3;
STEP 9: TEST: CONNECT A WATER SUPPLY TO THE BLACK TANK FLUSH FITTING IN THE WATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND ALLOW
WATER TO FLOW INTO THE BLACK TANK. INSPECT THE VALVE, BLACK HOSE OR BLUE WATER LINE ARE NOT LEAKING;
STEP 10: DISCONNECT WATER SUPPLY FOR THE TEST IN STEP 9. PROPERLY DISPOSE OF WATER USED IN THE TEST FROM THE
BLACK TANK.
